Prof Muntasir Mamun taken at ICU

Prof Muntasir Mamun, a veteran historian, has been taken at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of Mugda Medical College and Hospital in the city.

Assistant Professor Dr Mahbubur Rahman Kochi of the hospital said his physical condition is stable and he is not out of danger.

Dr. Monilal Aich, president of the hospital’s Covid-19 response team, said Prof Muntasir Mamun, was admitted to hospital with coronavirus symptoms. He was taken to ICU at 1.00am on Monday.

Coronavirus test was carried on Muntasir Mamun 10 days ago as his mother was diagnosed with coronavirus, he said.

Muntasir Mamun is a professor (Bangabandhu Chair) at the history department of Dhaka University.
