Public transport to remain closed till April 25

The government has extended the closure of public transport until April 25, aiming to prevent the spread of the deadly coronavirus or COVID-19.

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader made the announcement at a video press conference at his official residence on Saturday (April 11).

"Public transport will remain shut until April 25 in line with the government's announcement of general holidays," Quader told the press briefing.
