Quader reveals reasons behind BNP’s defeat in polls

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has revealed reasons behind defeat of BNP in recent polls.

He said, “It seems BNP has defeated in recent elections because of its negative politics and organisational failure.”

In reply to a query, the Road Transport and Bridges Minister told this to reporters in press briefing after a joint meeting at AL president’s Dhanmondi office on Friday.

Quader said BNP is now speaking a lot from disappointment. Defeats in recent polls put them into deep disappointment. According to media reports, the party is suffering from distrust. How will they unite leaders and activists?

“We want a strong opposition party. Because, strong democracy needs strong opposition party. But BNP is defeating for its negative politics which pushed them far behind success. The failure is its own. This is result of organisational failure of BNP,” he added.
