RAB finds TK 200cr FDR at Shamim’s office

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has found Fixed Deposit Receipt (FDR) worth Tk 200 crore from the office of Jubo League central committee leader SM Golam Kibria Shamim alias GK Shamim.

Alongside, RAB also recovered Tk 10 crore cash and seized foreign liquor, foreign currencies, firearms from the office in Niketan area in the capital on Friday noon.

Executive Magistrate Sarwoer Alam who led the drive told this to risingbd.

Earlier, a team of RAB-1 went to the business house no-144 in the area at the noon and held him along with his six body guards.

Shamim is well-known as influential contractor in Sabujbag, Basabo, Motijheel and different areas of the capital. He is Secretary of Cooperative Affairs of Jubo League central committee.
