RMG workers block roads for wages, Eid bonus

Staff Correspondent, Gazipur: Workers of a garment staged demonstrations demanding payment of bonus and salary of July in Tinsarak area of Gazipur on Friday.

Local said that the workers of Craft Limited, a readymade garment factory, blocked the road around 8:00am. Meanwhile, the agitated workers vandalized glasses of doors and windows of the factory.

Factory operator Rabeya said, the authority did not clear the wages of July and Eid bonus. The factory authority started distribution half month salary today. At one stage, the workers went on strike.

RAB-1 Gazipur Porabari camp company commander Abdullah Al Mamun said discussion is underway between workers and factory owner to solve the issue.
