RPGCL’s two GMs being grilled

Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) is interrogating two general managers (GM) of Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Limited (RPGCL) as part of an investigation into their alleged involvement in embezzling Tk 90 lakh.
The interrogation began at 10:30am on Tuesday at the ACC’s head office in the capital.
ACC's Deputy Director Abu Bakar Siddique is interrogating RPGCL’s GM (finance) Babor Ali, GM (admin) Ruchira Islam who were earlier summoned to appear before the office of the anti-graft body on December 3 to place their statements on the allegation.
ACC’s public relations office confirmed the matter on Tuesday.
According to the allegation, Tk 90 lakh was embezzled from Janata Bank Rural Electrification Board (REB) branch of the company. Later on October this year, the commission decided to launch an inquiry after getting primary authentication of the embezzlement.
