Raid at DIG Partha’s house, Tk80 lakh sized

Staff Correspondent: The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) seized Tk80 lakh from the residence of former Deputy Inspector General of Prison, Partha Gopal Banik in Chattogram on Sunday.

The watchdog conducted a drive led by ACC director Muhammad Yusuf around 10:00am, ACC public relations officer Pranab Kumar Bhattacharya said.

ACC sources said, acting on a secret information that a huge amount to illegal money was kept at his house in Dhanmondi’s Bhooter Goli. Meanwhile, the officials of ACC recovered Tk80 lakh.

However, Partha Gopal Banik claimed that the money was earned legally.
