Rajib’s death: Charge sheet against 2 bus drivers

Police submitted charge sheet against two bus drivers in a case filed over the death of third-year honours student Rajib Hasan who lost hand being sandwiched between two buses competing on city road.

Sub-Inspector (SI) of Shahbagh Police Station Idris Ali, also the investigation officer of the case, submitted the charge sheet in the court of Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Elias Mia on Sunday.

The two charge-sheeted accused of the case are- BRTC bus driver Wahid and Sajan Paribahan bus driver Khorshed.

Earlier on April 3 in 2018, Rajib, a third-year student of Government Titumir College, lost his right hand after it got stuck between two speeding buses trying to overtake each other in the capital's Bangla Motor area.

Later, the victim succumbed to his injuries while undergoing treatment at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) on April 17.
