Rampura power sub-station fire under control

The fire that broke out at the sub-station of power on Wapda Road at Rampura in the capital on Saturday afternoon has been brought under control after a one-hour effort.
The firefighters brought the blaze under control around 4:40 pm.
The blaze originated from an explosion in a transformer inside the power station around 3:45 pm.
Russell Shikder, duty officer of the fire service headquarters, confirmed the matter.
The amount of losses caused by the fire is being estimated, he said.
