Remittance hits record high in Bangladesh's history

Finance Ministry AHM Mustafa Kamal said, two percent incentive on inward remittances has been launched to encourage remittance through legal channel in 2019-20 fiscal year.

As a result, the inflow of remittance increased in the country. Bangladesh received four billion USD in last three months. The remittance hits record high in country's history.

The minister made the disclosure while addressing newsmen after a cabinet meeting on Wednesday.

He said, those who will send remittance following previous announcement, they will get the incentive facilities after budget declaration. Besides, those who sent remittance but did not get the incentives yet, they will also enjoy the scope. I hope, as a result, the remittance inflow will increase.  

AHM Mustafa Kamal also said, “We have collected the highest remittance ever in the history of Bangladesh.”
