Rickshaw puller takes rape victim to DMCH

A rickshaw puller brought to Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH) a young girl who was allegedly gang-raped in Ashulia of Savar, on the outskirts of Dhaka yesterday night.

Two young boys raped the girl by turns at a place behind Ashulia Habib clinic around 10:30pm.

It is learnt that while the victim was returning home after her work, the two youths named Aminul and Habib forcibly took her to a place behind Ashulia Habib clinic and raped her by turns. After raping, they abandoned her at a roadside bush.

At that time, a rickshaw puller named Mizan was going by and heard her screams. Later, he went to the spot and brought her to the DMCH with the help of another person after recovering her.

Confirming the matter, Inspector Bachchu Mia, in-charge of DMCH police outpost, said the girl is now in the One Stop Crisis Centre (OCC) of the hospital.
