Rifat murder: Minni’s plea rejected

The High Court has rejected a plea of Ayesha Siddiqua Minni challenging legality of charge framing against her.
A bench headed by Justice AKM Asaduzzaman rejected the plea on Tuesday.
Senior lawyers ZI Khan Panna and Jammiul Haq Foysal stood for Minni.
Minni is the wife of Rifat Sharif, who was killed in broad daylight outside Barguna Government College on June 26 last year.
A Barguna court today accepted the charge sheet against Ayesha Siddika Minni and 23 others in Rifat Sharif murder case.
Minni turned from a witness to an accused in the sensational murder of Rifat Sharif, after new CCTV footage was found of the incident.
On July 14, addressing the newfound video footage, Rifat's father Abdul Halim Dulal held a press conference demanding the arrest of his daughter-in-law in connection to his son's killing.
