Risingbd organises workshop on news editing

Risingbd Desk: Country’s popular online news portal risingbd.com has arranged a two-day “New Media Workshop” programme in order to improve the professional skill of its sub-editors.

The workshop programme regarding news editing was organised at risingbd office in the capital’s Mirpur 1 on Saturday.

Shakil Bin Mushtaq, former editor of BBC Dhaka Bureau at BBC World Service, is imparting training to the sub-editors of the online news portal.

Today was the first day of the workshop which will end tomorrow (Sunday).

Advisory Editor of risingbd.com Uday Hakim inaugurated the workshop at the online news portal’s office this afternoon.

Editor of the online news portal Nowsher Ali was present during the inaugural ceremony of the workshop.

Mentionable, risingbd started its journey in 2013 with the theme of highlighting positive Bangladesh towards the national and international readers. Uday Hakim rendered an outstanding role as Founding Editor of the portal. Making its journey successful, he left the charge in the online news portal about five years ago for dedicating himself in branding Walton and its products at home and abroad.

On June 3 this year, multi-skilled and well-known media and corporate person Uday Hakim again joined the country’s popular news portal risingbd as Advisory Editor.

In addition to that, he is performing his role as executive director of the country’s electronics giant Walton Group.
