Rowshan Leader of Oppn, GM Quader deputy

Senior Correspondent: The government has issued a gazette notification acknowledging recently departed Jatiya Party Chief HM Ershad’s widow Rowshan Ershad as the leader of Opposition in the Parliament.

The gazette published by the Parliament Secretariat on Monday (Sept 9) named Ershad’s brother GM Quader as the deputy leader of Opposition.

The post of deputy leader in Opposition fell vacant following the death of former military dictator Ershad’s demise.
Jatiya Party came to a consensus on the leadership after a power struggle by announcing GM Quader as the party chief and Rowshan Ershad as the leader of Opposition.
