Sports Desk: Soumya Sarkar sent back Kusal Perera after his brilliant ton, helping a pause for Sri Lanka to build a solid platform.

Sri Lanka are moving forward, thanks to brisk century of Perera, against Bangladesh in the first ODI of three match series at R.Premadasa Stadium in Colombo.

But in the following over, Rubel struck Kusal Mendis who scored 43 runs from 49 balls with 4 fours, leaving the side in a little trouble.

Lankans were at 230 for four wickets in 36.5 overs till the report was filed.

Perera smashed 111 runs off 99 balls with 17 fours and a six.

For Bangladesh, spinner Mehidy Hasan Miraz, pacer Shafiul Islam, Soumya Sarkar and Rubel Hossain shared a wicket each.

Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and chose to bat first.
