S Alam Group director dies of coronavirus

Director of S Alam Group and NRB Global Bank Morshedul Alam has died of COVID-19 infection.

The 62-year-old industrialist lost the battle for survival at the intensive care unit of the Chattogram General Hospital around 10.45pm on Friday.

Senior consultant of Chattogram General Hospital Dr Abdur Rab confirmed the matter.

He was the elder brother of chairman of S Alam Group Saiful Alam.

Morshedul Alam and five other members of the family tested positive for coronavirus.

All of them had been in isolation at home in Sugandha residential area of the city.

Morshedul Alam was admitted to the hospital’s isolation unit on Thursday night and later transferred to the ICU.
