Sahara Khatun's health condition improves

The health condition of former Home Minister and Awami League presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun has improved than before.

"Oxygen ventilator has been removed from Sahara Khatun who is undergoing treatment at the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of United Hospital in the capital. She can take breath naturally and speak sometimes," said her personal assistant Mujibur Rahman on Sunday (June 21) morning.

"Her (Sahara Khatun) condition is improving. Her pressure remains normal. But she needs to be kept at the ICU for several days more," said Mujibur quoting physicians overseeing the treatment of the ex-minister.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is enquiring about the physical condition of Sahara Khatun all the time.

The 77-year-old was admitted to the United Hospital at 4:40 am on June 3 with fever and some old age complications. She was later shifted to the ICU of the hospital as her health condition worsened.
