Sahara Khatun’s health deteriorates further

Health condition of former Home Minister and Awami League presidium member Advocate Sahara Khatun has deteriorated further.
She has been taken to the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) and kept on oxygen support.
Mujibor Rahman, assistant personal secretary to Sahara Khatun, confirmed this to risingbd on Friday.
He said ‘Her physical condition deteriorated around 11.00am and she has been taken to ICU”
Last Monday, she was transferred to the High Dependency Unit (HDU) from the Intensive Care Unit (ICU).
The 77-year-old Sahara has been suffering from fever, allergy and different old-age complications.
She was admitted to the capital’s United Hospital with respiratory problem on June 3. Still, she is undergoing treatment there.
Sahara Khatun was born in Kurmitola, Dhaka on March 1 in 1943.
She has been elected as Member of Parliament (MP) from Dhaka-18 constituency for three terms. She served as the home minister and later the post and telecommunications minister in the Sheikh Hasina-led cabinet.
