Satkhira woman gives birth to quadruplets

A woman gave birth to quadruplets in Debhata upazila in Satkhira early Tuesday.

However, the condition of the mother and four new born babies are in critical condition, said doctor.

Woman’s husband Shariful Islam, a dweller of Sendra village under Debhata upazila said, his wife was taken to Sadar Hospital on Monday night after she went into labour where doctors referred her to Khulna 250 bed hospital.

As they took her to the Khulna, doctors described her condition as critical and asked them to send her to Dhaka Medical College Hospital.

Later, finding no way, the woman was taken to a privet hospital in Satkhira where she gave birth to the quadruplets.
