Like many other countries in the world, Saudi Arabia also cancelled its flights to and from different countries to prevent the spread of the fast-spreading coronavirus—also known as COVID-19—first identified in the Chinese city of Wuhan.
Due to the move of Saudi authorities, 68 passengers who left Bangladesh for the country got stuck in Bahrain.
Those Saudi bound passengers are now being sent back to the country on the intervention of Bangladesh embassy in Bahrain.
Bangladeshi Embassy labour counselor Shaikh Tahidul Islam came up with the information on Wednesday (March 11).
He said several passengers have been sent back to Bangladesh in a flight of Gulf Air and the rest will be sent back tonight.
