Senior journalist Abdullah dies of COVID-19

Financial Express News Editor Abdullah M Hasan died of COVID-19 at a Dhaka hospital on Friday evening. He was 72.

The senior journalist breathed his last at Labaid Specialised Hospital.

Abdullah was undergoing treatment for over two weeks.

He was admitted to the hospital with COVID-19 symptoms and later tested positive for the novel coronavirus.

He was born in Rangpur on July 27, 1948.

He is survived by his wife, two daughters and a host of relatives to mourn his death.

In his 50-year professional life, Abdullah worked at Bangladesh Today, Independent, The Daily Star, Daily Sun and many other English newspapers.
