Shahed: DB to start drive to recover fake test equipment

The Detective Branch (DB) of police will conduct drives at various spots to recover Group Chairman Shahed Karim’s fake Covid-19 test equipment.

Abdul Baten, Additional commissioner of DB made the disclosure while addressing media at DB office in the capital on Thursday (July 16).

He said, Shahed removed his equipment before RAB’s drive in his hospital. So, drive will be conducted to recover those test equipment.

The detective also said, “Not only he put lives of people in risk, but he also earned crore of taka providing fake certificates. Besides, his such activities tarnished the image of the country. We have learned that he has been cheating for a long time. Investigation will be started to find out his all kinds of cheating.”

Earlier, on Wednesday, Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) personnel arrested Md Shahed along with an illegal firearm from border area of Satkhira.
