Shahed tarnishes country’s image: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said the fraudulence made by Regent Group Chairman Md Shahed tarnished image of the country in the world. He spoiled the country’s position in international during the coronavirus crisis.

The Minister made the reaction on Wednesday noon after he was arrested by Rapid Action Battalion (RAB).

Home Minister said, ‘Many of our country flew for different countries including Italy after collecting fake coronavirus negative report from Shahed’s Regent Hospital. The certificates were proved fake in the countries that was extremely defamatory for the country.’

‘Not only Shahed, whoever is the criminal will not be spared. Everybody who will commit criminal offence will be brought under the law,’ he added.

Mentionable, RAB arrested Shahed Karim around 5:10am on Wednesday while he was attempting to flee the country through border.
