Shakib and Shishir host post-wedding reception

Sports Reporter, Dhaka, Dec 16: The world`s best all-rounder Shakib Al-Hasan celebrated his post-wedding reception on Sunday evening just one year and three days after his marriage.

 

Shakib Al-Hasan married Umme Ahmed Shishir, an American citizen, on December 12 last year. Born in 1989, Shishir hails from Narayanganj district. She got her degree in Software Engineering from Minnesota University and lives in Wisconsin, USA.

 

Shakib and Shishir hosted their post-wedding reception ceremony at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital Sunday evening.

 

Sources said more than 2,000 guests attended Shakib and Shishir`s post-wedding reception at Bangabandhu International Conference Centre in the capital.

 

Cricketers, cricket organisers and people involved in cricket arena attended the reception.

 

The reception was attended by Bangladesh Cricket Board president Nazmul Hasan Papon, directors of the BCB, players of national cricket team and US Ambassador to Bangladesh Dan W Mozena, among others.
