‘Situation may get worse If health regulations neglected’

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana, additional director general of Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), has urged to prevent coronavirus infection through following health regulations.

She said, ‘The situation may get worse further if regulations are neglected.’

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana came up with the warning while speaking in regular bulleting on Friday.

She said, ‘We do not want anyone else to die of coronavirus. For this, we should use mask, wash hands with soap and water frequently, maintain social distance and avoid gatherings.  We must have to follow all these regulations.’

Prof Dr Nasima Sultana said, ‘The World Health Organization has repeatedly warned us about this. It warns the coronavirus situation may get worse and terrible If these regulations are neglected. We do not want to fall into a deadly situation anymore. Please, everybody cooperate and keep yourself safe.’

Meanwhile, a total of 40 more people died of coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours, taking the number of deaths to 1,661 in the country.

Besides, a total of 3,868 more people tested positive for Covid-19 over the same period, raising the total number of confirmed cases to 1,30,474.
