Special JS session convened for ‘Mujib Borsho’

The Jatiya Sangsad (JS) has taken a yearlong work plan to mark the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman or ‘Mujib Borsho’ in a befitting manner.
As part of the work plan, the parliament is set to hold a special session from March 22 to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation.
President Abdul Hamid yesterday summoned the two-day special session, exercising his power bestowed upon him by Article 72 (1) of the constitution, according to a release of the Parliament Secretariat.
Former Indian president Pranab Mukherjee and Nepal's President Bidya Devi Bhandari are expected to deliver speeches during the special session.
