Risingbd Desk: Former BCCI Chief and present ICC Chairman N Srinivasan’s son Ashwin, a ‘homosexual’, accused his father for forcing him to marry a woman to continue the family line.
This shocking revelation was made by Daily News and Analysis newspaper in an interview with Srinivason`s son.
In the interview to DNA, Ashwin said that his partner Avi Mukherjee and himself have been shifted and held captive in Chennai after he spoke about his brother-in-law Gurunath Meiyappan having connections with the bookies from Chennai and Dubai.
Ashwin demanded his share of his family property from the Ex-BCCI chief and want to live peacefully with Avi. He said that he was held captive against his will at Tony First Avenue near his father’s residence in Boat club.
Ashwin forwarded around six handwritten letters that his father wrote to him asking him to carry on the family lineage and protect his business. Ashwin sent those letters to DNA to show his father’s views on homosexuality.
In one of the letters he wrote “You need to re-enter normal society which you left years ago. Until you change, I am going to induct Rupa (Srinivasan’s daughter sister and Meiyappan’s wife) on to the India Cements Board.”
After a couple of letters over the years, Ashwin wrote back lashing out at his father for which he replied with another letter saying that he was trying to ‘threaten’ him and “extortion was clearly visible.” Based on the letters Srinivasan was viewing Avi as a ‘criminal’ breaking the law and indulging in illegal activities including drugs.
When DNA approached Srinivasan for a comment, he did not offer any and said that this is a personal matter between a father and son.
Ashwin claims his father has now resorted to violence and threats after the letters failed to change his son`s mind.
