Steps as per law if foreign returnees escape 14-day quarantine

Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora, Director of the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control And Research (IEDCR), has warned that steps would be taken against those foreign returnees will escape 14-day home-quarantine instruction given by government.

She said, “We urge people who returned from abroad to stay at home for 14 days. In many cases, we are finding that they are not abide by the instruction. We request them to be home-quarantined. Many are not following the sympathetic steps of the government. In this case, we can implement infectious diseases act. But we do not want to go after tough step.”

Prof Meerjady Sabrina Flora came up with the warning in press briefing on Friday.
