Strict measures to prevent drug, militancy amid coronavirus: RAB

Director General (DG) of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Chowdhury Abdullah Al Mamun said strict legal steps would be taken to prevent drug, militancy and terrorism amid coronavirus crisis.

He came up with the statement while exchanging views with reporters through video conference from RAB Headquarters on Saturday noon.

RAB DG said like other law enforcement agencies, the elite force is also working to create awareness among people over coronavirus. Even that people are gathering in streets, gutters at different places in the capital. Whenever we will get information about gathering after evening, we will take legal steps.

RAB will enhance its patrolling to ensure social distance, he added.
