Suhel’s surgery successful

A P M Suhel, who sustained serious injury in an attack of leaders and activists of Mukijuddha Mancha at the Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU), underwent a successful surgery on the head.

The operation was conducted at Surgery Department of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) on Wednesday midnight.

After the surgery, he has been kept at Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

Physicians of medical board formed for his treatement said on Wednesday morning, Suhel is currently out of danger. He will be taken to cabin after 24 hours.

The attack allegedly carried out by the activists of Muktijuddha Mancha on DUCSU vice-president Nurul Haque and activists of Bangladesh General Students' Rights Protection Council (BGSRPC) left dozens injured. Of them, 32 admitted to DMCH.

A case was filed in this connection on Monday.
