Three-day holiday during Eid, govt officials must be at workplace

The public servants of the country will get three-day holiday on Eid-ul-Azha and they must be at workplace during the festival due to coronavirus situation.
Cabinet Secretary Khandker Anwarul Islam said this in a briefing at the Secretariat after virtual cabinet meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina in chair on Monday noon.
He said, ‘This time holiday on Eid-ul-Azha will not be extended. It will be for three days. The government officials and employees will have to stay at workplace respectively.’
Prime Minister joined the meeting from her official residence Gono Bhaban while other cabinet members from the secretariat.
Eid-ul-Azha will be celebrated on July 31 or August 01 subjected to sighting the moon of Zil Hajj.
