Tight security measures taken for puja celebration

Awami League (AL) General Secretary and Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said that the government has taken tight security measures centering puja celebration across the country.

Obaidul Quader said this while addressing a cloth distribution programme on the occasion of puja celebration in the capital on Saturday.

He said, “The Hindu community in our country celebrates puja peacefully as the government under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina believes in inter communal coherence and respect”.

The Bridge minister said, Sheikh Hasina started drive against corruption, mischief and drugs-terrors. It will continue. Terrorism, drug dealing and corruption will be eradicated from the country for good.

Awami League (AL) organizing secretary AFM Bahauddin Nasim, local MP Haji Mohammad Salim, Dhaka South AL general secretary Shah-e-Alam Murad, publication secretary Akhter Hossain, councilor Hasibur Rahman and others attended the programme.
