Train crash: Victims’ families to get Tk one lakh each

Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujan has said the government will give Tk one lakh each to the families of the dead passengers of Brahmanbaria fatal train accident.

Minister Sujan made the announcement on Tuesday while visiting the train accident spot.

Replying to a question, the minister said “Three probe committees have been formed to investigate the matter. A proper action will be taken against any irregularity or negligence.”

The deadly collision took place between two trains around 3.00 am on Tuesday in Mondobagh area of Kasba upazila that killed at least 16 people and injured more than 100 people.
