Train derails at Bhairab, rail link snapped

The rail communication of Dhaka with eastern parts of the country was suspended as a compartment of Chattogram-bound train from Mymensingh Nasirabad Express got derailed at Bhairab in Kishoreganj.

Following the derailment, the rail link of Bhairab-Kishoreganj-Mymensingh was halted at 1:30pm on Thursday.

Confirming the matter, Bhairab Railway Station Master AKM Kamruzzaman said, the accident took place the train was entering the outer signal point of the Bhairab Railway Station. No casualty has been reported in the accident yet.

Later, on information, Bhairab railway engineers rushed to the spot and trying to recover the train’s wheel.
