Two Biman traffic helpers remanded

Staff Correspondent: A Dhaka court has placed two traffic helpers of national flag carrier Biman to a five-day remand each in a case filed over illegal consignment of gold.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Shahidul Islam passed the order after hearing in the case on Sunday.

The convicts were known as Emdad Hossain Chowdhury, and Abdur Rahim.

Earlier, Investigation Officer (IO) of the case, Inspector of Airport Police Station S M Quaiyum produced them before the court and sought a 10-day remand for each of them.

On July 13, they were along with 38 gold bars weighing around 4 kg from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport.
