Two burnt dead in Chattogram fire

Two people were burnt to death and several others injured in a fire at Halishahar Barapool colony in Chattogram city early Monday.
Two dead bodies were recovered from the spot, said Kafil Uddin, Chattogram Fire Service and Civil Defence official.
The deceased were identified as Md Zakir Hossain, 36, and Mohon, 35.
Kafil Uddin said on information, four units of fire-fighters rushed to the spot and doused the blaze after one and half hour of frantic efforts”.
Later, fire service officials recovered the charred bodies of the men from a house.
However, the reason behind the fire could not be known yet, he added.
The injured have been admitted to the burn unit of Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
