Two groups clash on JU campus

Two groups have locked into a clash over the removal of Vice Chancellor of Jahangirnagar University Professor Farzana Islam.

The clash took place around 11.30am on Tuesday in front of VC’s residence.

According to sources, a group of students and teachers took position in front of the VC’s residence in the morning, demanding her resignation over allegations of corruption.

On the other hand, supporters of VC also took position near her residence. At one stage, supporters of two groups locked into an altercation that triggered a clash.
