Two killed in city ‘gunfight’

Two suspected drug dealers were killed in a ‘gunfight’ with the members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) in Diabari area of the capital early Friday.

The deceased were identified as Ibrahim Khalil, 45, and Omar Faruk, 35.
Senior ASP of RAB-1 Kamruzzaman confirmed the news.

He said RAB members challenged a motorcycle but the two motorcyclists opened fire targeting the RAB members forcing them to fire back that triggered a gunfight, leaving two dead on the spot.

The bodies were sent to Shaheed Suhrawardy Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
