A Dhaka court has summoned a UP Chairman in a defamation case filed for derogatory comments over Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

He is identified as Enamul Hassan, chairman of Gopalpur Union Parishad Chairman of Alfadanga in Faridpur.

Dhaka Metropolitan Magistrate Sahidul Islam on Tuesday passed the order and asked him to appear before the court on February 26.

According to case statement, Enamul Hassan said in a public rally that Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina came to power through vote rigging. Where was justice and ideology of Bangabandhu?

He further said Bangabandhu separated Pakistan. The country would be more beautiful if the two parts of Pakistan remained together. What the fuss is about him (Bangabandhu)?
