Uniform Entrance Test: UGC meets today

University Grants Commission of Bangladesh (UGC) will hold a meeting with vice-chancellors of public universities today (Wednesday) afternoon.

The meeting will begin around 3.00pm at UGC auditorium.

Earlier on February 11 at a meeting, vice-chancellors of public universities agreed to a uniform entrance test and UGC decided to a make a policy in this regard.

Later, Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET), Chattogram University, Jahangirnagar University, Dhaka University and Rajshahi University decided not to adopt the uniform admission test.

UGC Chairman Professor Kazi Shahidullah said decision of five universities make us frustrated.  But we are committed to implementing the decision without five universities.
