Virtual system should be launched in jail: PM

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has emphasized on digital system to settle court cases during this coronavirus crisis.

“Virtual system should be launched in jail, so that cases can be settled digitally,” she said.

The premier made the assertion while addressing a virtual meeting of the Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (Ecnec) from her official residence Ganobhaban on Sunday (June 21).

After the meeting Planning Minister MA Mannan briefed reporters.

Mentioning the directions of the Prime Minister regarding facilities in jails, MA Mannan said, “Fan, television facilities should be provided in jails. Those who are making goods in jail, they should get 50 percent profit of their produced goods, said the premier.”
