Walton becomes title sponsor of Bangabandhu DPL

Walton, the country's leading electrical, electronic goods and automobiles manufacturing company, has become the title sponsor of the Dhaka Premier League (DPL) for the ninth consecutive year.

Marking the birth centenary celebration of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, this year’s tournament has been named ‘Bangabandhu DPL sponsored by Walton’.

Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) arranged a press conference at Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium, Mirpur on Saturday to announce the name of title sponsor of the Bangabandhu DPL.

Chief Executive of BCB Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon, Walton Group's Executive Director Uday Hakim, Additional Director Milton Ahmed and CCDM Coordinator Ali Hossain were present at the conference.

Nizamuddin Chowdhury Sujon said, "Greetings to Walton for coming forward again to sponsor Dhaka Premier League”.

Giving all the greetings of Mujib Year, Walton Group’s Executive Director Uday Hakim said "We are glad to be part of this season’s Dhaka Premier League."

A total of 12 teams will participate in the tournament that will begin Sunday (March 15).
