What Minni’s lawyer says keeping her sit next to him

Ayesha Siddika Minni, wife of slain Barguna’s Rifat Sharif, has met her chief lawyer Z I Khan Panna.

She along with her father reached her lawyer Panna’s chamber at the Supreme Court Bar building around 10:30am on Sunday.

She talked to lawyers for a long time.

Later, chief lawyer Z I Khan Panna talked to reporters keeping Minni sit next to him.

Panna told reporters about her Dhaka visit, “She needs to talk to doctors and lawyers as well.”

“I told earlier about charge sheet that it is a thoroughly a fictitious novel. It was done mainly to release real culprits. It is nothing new, but another edition of Judge Mia and Jahalam,” he said.
When asked about Minni’s confessional statement published on media, he said, “I have seen it. I saw it when I was sitting in the court. I saw it at a glance when Chamber court of the Appellate Division asked to show us. It was also a fiction. Supreme Court Bar President told the court that it is out of imagination how nicely the statement was written.”

Did you file petition to withdraw the statement under 164?

In reply, he said, “It was done earlier. Minni herself filed the petition in this regard from jail. It was secured at police. But it was published on media before submitting to the court. So, it is one kind of contempt of court.
