Why Krishna shouldn’t be paid Tk 2cr, HC issues rule

The High Court (HC) has issued a rule asking the authority concern as to why they should not be ordered to pay Tk 2 core to Krishna Roy and her family who lost her leg after a Trust Paribahan bus ran over her.

The HC bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Quader on Sunday passed the order after hearing on a writ petition filed in this regard.

Advocate Imran Hossain moved for the petition while Assistant Attorney General Saiful Alam represented the state in the court.

On November 17, 2019, Krishna Roy’s husband filed the writ petition seeking compensation.
