Will work as OC if necessary: DMP chief

Senior Correspondent: New Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Mohammad Shafiqul Islam said that he is ready to work there as its Officer-in-Charge (OC), people do not get desired services from any police station.

“If people don’t get services, face harassment at police stations under DMP then I’ll be there and serve people as an OC, if needed. DCs and other senior officers will be there,” said the DMP boss.

The new DMP commissioner said this while speaking at a ‘Meet-the-Press’ programme at the DMP Media Centre on Sunday.

Necessary steps will be taken so that service seekers at police stations do not face any harassment, he said adding “This is my biggest challenge.”
