Woman pedestrian killed in city road crash

Senior Correspondent: A woman pedestrian was killed as a recklessly-driven bus ran them over her when she was crossing a road at Banani area of the city on Thursday morning.

The deceased was identified as Farhanaz, an accountant of a private company. 

Farman Ali, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Banani Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said a bus rammed Farhanaz when she was trying to cross the road at the area. He was rushed to Kurmitola General Hospital in the capital where doctors declared her dead.

Police seized the killer bus while its driver fled away, he added.
