Writ filed seeking cancellation of Tabith’s candidacy

A writ petition has been filed with the High Court (HC) seeking cancellation of DNCC’s BNP mayoral candidate Tabith Awal’s candidacy for allegedly concealing information of his properties in his affidavits submitted with the Election Commission (EC).

Former Supreme Court (SC) Justice AHM Shamsuddin Choudhury Manik filed the writ on Sunday.

The HC bench of Justice JBM Hassan and Justice Md Khairul Alam may hear the petition on Monday.
