Wrongly accused man in jail: Writ hearing Wednesday

The High Court (HC) will hear a writ petition on Wednesday filed in connection with the jailing of an innocent man instead of a convicted fugitive in a smuggling case in Khulna.

A virtual High Court bench of Justice M Enayetur Rahim set the date for the hearing on Monday (July 8).

Advocate Mohammad Shishir Monir moved for the writ petition.

Earlier on Sunday (July 5), a writ was filed in connection with the jailing of an innocent man instead of a convicted fugitive in a smuggling case in Khulna.
