Youth held with pistol while entering AL council venue

A youth was arrested with pistol while entering the Awami League council venue at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital on Friday.

The detainee was identified as Nurul Alam Khan Russell, 45.

Abul Hassan, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Shahbag Police Station, confirmed the news.

He said, “The youth was held while entering the venue with a pistol and six rounds of bullets.”

“He is a businessman. He showed us photo copy of the license. We are verifying the license. He came here to attended the council,” the OC added.
