Youths of HWPL to celebrate Int’l Mother Language Day

Shaheed Dibosh, the coming 21st is a memorial day for those killed in resisting the policy of exterminating language.

Heavenly Culture, World Peace, Restoration of Light (HWPL) bring together around 500 students from the Shamsul Hoque Khan College and American International University-Bangladesh (AIUB) to celebrate International Mother Language Day and hold their respective events on 20th and 21st to spread peace with cultural activities.

On that day, the HWPL peace delegation will appear as a guest on a private broadcasting station, SATV talk show, said a press release on Monday.

Under the theme of “Cultural exchange, Bridge of World Peace” Bangladesh University students will share a comparable historical experience between Bangladesh and Korea, which achieved independence by keeping their ethnic identity, mother tongue.

The students of Shamsul Hoque Khan College will hold an art contest to remember sacrifice of young people who lost their lives to protect their native language.

In addition, AIUB students plan to engage in cultural exchanges between Bangladesh and Korea with Bengali poetry recitation, singing Bengali songs, drama performances and soccer friendly matches.
